People work together because together they do more than apart. That surplus is the reason organisations exist at all. People get together for leverage.
However, that surplus has a ceiling. Past a point, each additional person, project and month costs more than the value it brings. The leverage dividend turns into a complexity tax.
Almost all of that tax is spent accessing what the team already knows. That is the part we are working on.
